NUTRITION
An Introduction to Nutrition
You could fill more than one library with the amount of information out there is on nutrition. If fact there is so much information it becomes counter productive, because it ends up overwhelming you. So many articles seem to contradict other articles, one week people are saying one thing then the next week they are saying something else. What do you believe and what should you eat?
Well in my experience in the years have been training people and training myself I have found a few absolute FACTS.
Firstly, what will work for one person will not necessarily work for you. Everybody’s body is different and works in different ways. Yes there are only really 3 main body types (Ectomorphs, Mesomorphs and Endomorphs ) but everybody has used their bodies differently throughout their lives. They have looked after it differently and exercised it differently and they even think differently ( how you think has a dramatic effect on the body and its potential ) so just because a certain diet works for a friend of yours or for some celebrity somewhere does not mean it will work for you. You have to discover what works for your body, you are unique and special.

Secondly, the absolute best rule is “KISS” – Keep It Simple Stupid – good nutritious fresh food is the way to eat, try limit processed foods. Eat lots of vegetables and legumes, try not to mix protein with starch, eat a wide variety of food (different vegetables, fruits, nuts etc ) dont eat red meat, you dont need it. Eat little and often and drink lots of water.
The truth is we actually all know this deep down inside, the problem comes when trying to fit it into real life. Cooking takes time, its easier to get take away, we all drink too much booze, blah blah blah. But at the end of the day its up to you to do it for yourself, nobody else can do it for you and once you get into eating healthy and exercising regularly you will realise that it actually isn’t that hard and you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it ages ago.
For those of you wanting to know a bit more about the various areas of diet and nutrition I have included some very comprehensive material from sources I trust, happy reading.
